Why climb in Ten Sleep Canyon with us:
Our rock climbing guides are experienced professionals, talented climbers, and well-trained teachers. They are also humble, personable, and overall great humans to be around in the mountains. Our guides are adept at providing safe, supportive, and inclusive climbing experiences for people of all backgrounds and ability levels. Many of our rock climbing guides live and climb in the Bighorn Basin throughout the summer, which is a major advantage because they know the areas they guide extremely well. Being based in the area also minimizes travel for our guides, which makes our service more affordable than our competitors and reduces our carbon footprint.
Favorite places to climb in Ten Sleep Canyon:
- Hound Dog Crag – Hound Dog Crag is one of the best crags in the lower canyon and long-time local developer Mike Decker’s finest contribution to sport climbing in the area. Hound Dog features a short approach to an incredible selection of fun climbs ranging from 5.6-5.13 with one of the best 5.10’s (Big Bear Memorial) and two of the best 5.11’s in the canyon (Banga and Munsterlander).

Downpour Wall, Dream Land, World Domination, Metropolis, and Downtown are some of our favorite places to climb in the area. The Mondo is a great place to climb if you’re looking for a wide assortment of quality routes in the 5.10-5.12 range.
- Leigh Creek – Leigh Creek features a great variety of sport climbing crags that are well shaded in the morning, unlike many of the crags in Ten Sleep Canyon that are shaded in the afternoon. Sidewalk Buttress, Psychoactive, and the Flatulence Pillar are some of our favorite crags in the area.
