Description
Alpine Ice Climbing in Wyoming

Alpine ice climbing in the Bighorn Mountains in September
Overview:
We offer custom guided trips for small groups (1-2 climbers) of experienced ice climbers who want to explore the amazing alpine ice and mixed climbing found in Wyoming. The Bighorn and Absaroka Mountains of northern Wyoming feature excellent early and late season alpine ice climbing at high elevations. In fact, these are some of the first waterfall ice climbing routes to form in the lower 48, consistently setting up by mid to late September. These trips are very demanding physically and technically, requiring a high level of physical fitness and a substantial background of technical ice climbing. Trips range from light and fast day missions to three-day overnight outings, depending on the objective and conditions. If you have the skills and you’re looking for a one of a kind alpine ice climbing experience deep in the Wyoming wilderness (and don’t mind a long and grueling approach), this is the trip for you!
